"Intellectual Property and Related Rights," Quinnipiac University

On September 13, Day Pitney Intellectual Property Partner Cathy O'Connor served as a guest lecturer for Quinnipiac University's Entertainment Law and Deal Making Practice course in its Masters in Cinematic Production Management program. O'Connor presented on "Intellectual Property and Related Rights," with Quinnipiac Adjunct Professor Mike Cummings, where they covered a range of fundamental topics that filmmakers need to know when creating works and collaborating with others. Topics for this class included types of intellectual property at issue, rights clearance, work made for hire, and fair use.
