Day Pitney Pro Bono Client International Spy Museum Holds Grand Opening at L'Enfant Plaza in DC

On May 12, Day Pitney pro bono client, the International Spy Museum, held the grand opening of its new Museum at L'Enfant Plaza in Washington, DC. After a nearly three-year upgrade, the Museum now has 10,000 artifacts and new interactive exhibits in a 140,000-square-foot space. Day Pitney began serving as pro bono outside general counsel for the International Spy Museum in November 2017.

More than 1,500 people attended the grand opening celebration, including members of Congress, DC's City Council and the defense and intelligence communities, along with city tourism leaders and the general public. Day Pitney attendees included Jonathan Handler, Evan Reese, Dave Doot, Denise Jackson and Steven Cash, who sits on the Museum's Advisory Board. Cash and Day Pitney attorney Eliza Fromberg attended the Museum's Board meeting the day before the grand opening.

The International Spy Museum is the only public museum in the United States solely dedicated to espionage and the only one in the world to provide a global perspective on an all-but-invisible profession that has shaped history and continues to have a significant impact on world events. The grand opening was covered by multiple news outlets, including The New York Times, CBS News and The Washington Post.
