On June 4, Dina Kapur Sanna was a co-presenter on "Structuring Foreign Investments in U.S. Real Estate After the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act" at the Private Client Transcontinental Trusts: International Forum 2018 in Hamilton Princess, Bermuda. The presentation (i) provided an overview of the current federal income, gift and estate taxation of non-U.S. individuals and U.S. real estate, (ii) reviewed different structuring options for foreign investments in U.S. real estate and (iii) discussed the effects of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act on such investment structures.
