On April 4, 2016, C. John DeSimone III spoke at "Resolving Real Estate Title Defects," a live seminar held by the National Business Institute in the Saddle Brook Hotel in Saddle Brook, New Jersey. DeSimone spoke about easements. Sub-topics included basic concepts, identification of common easement terminology, types of easements and their creation, the differences between easements and licenses, the construction of easements, extinguishment, litigation issues and special issues that may arise in connection with railroads, riparian claims, and public lands.
