In early 2013, National Grid, which is one of the largest investor-owned energy companies in the world with regulated activities in the UK and Northeast US, made a $40 Million equity investment in Clean Line Energy. Clean Line Energy's business model is to develop long distance, high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission projects to move renewable energy to market. Mac Nash will provide insights on Clean Line Energy's efforts and National Grid's investment.
