On May 10, 2014, the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey (HBA-NJ) held its 33rd Annual Scholarship Gala & Awards Dinner at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Day Pitney was a diamond sponsor of the event. Day Pitney received the Corporate Law Department of the Year Award. In his acceptance remarks, Director of Diversity Asker A. Saeed noted that "diversity is not a minority thing; it's an everybody thing. We all stand to benefit from a more diverse law firm, law department, and legal community, so we all have a role to play."

Thirty six thousand dollars in scholarship money was raised and awarded to deserving law students from area law schools. Day Pitney's Andr?s Acebo, who serves as Press Secretary and Scholarship Committee Co-Chair for the HBA-NJ, presented the scholarship awards.

Over 400 guests were in attendance, including Day Pitney attorneys Francine Esposito, Rachel A. Gonzalez, J. Andres Mayor, Sylvia-Rebecca Guti?rrez, Andr?s Acebo, Ben Haglund, Chris Stracco, Amy McClelland, Vahbiz Karanjia, Paul Marino, and Director of Diversity Asker A. Saeed, who were joined by various guests and clients of the firm.
