On January 24, 2013, Day Pitney was a table sponsor of the Rutgers-Camden Black Law Students Association 17th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Champions of Social Justice & Equality Awards Banquet & Ceremony in Camden, New Jersey.

The Honorees for the evening were Danielle Banks, partner at Stradley, Ronon, Stevens & Young and Co-President of the Philadelphia Diversity Law Group, Felix James, executive director of the Camden Center for Youth Development and co-founder of the MLK Banquet, and The Honorable Michael Shipp, US District Court Judge for the District of New Jersey.

Over 150 guests attended the event, including Director of Diversity Asker Saeed and New Jersey Hiring Committee Chair Paul Halasz, who were joined by clients and friends of the firm and various professors and administrators from the law school.
