On June 12, 2013, Day Pitney hosted a meeting of the South Asian Women Attorneys Network ("SAWAN") in its Hartford, Connecticut office. SAWAN is dedicated to the professional development of South Asian Women attorneys and accomplishes its mission through events and programs focused on networking, mentoring, and business development. Day Pitney attorney Namita Shah and summer apprentice Sunita Paknikar attended along with many other South Asian women attorneys from the greater Hartford legal community.
