"Are You Prepared for the Imminent New Wave of Unionization?" <i>Day Pitney Webinar</i>

The long-term decline of unions in the United States lulled many employers into believing that union activity at their workplace was unlikely. The union organizing climate, however, has changed and several recent events will likely make union organizing campaigns a reality for many employers in the near future. Indeed, the National Labor Relations Board ("NLRB") has issued regulations, to become effective this April, that would not only require employers to post notices alerting employees to their right to unionize, but also deprive employers of their ability to challenge the voting unit and limit employers' opportunity to educate their employees about unions once a petition for a secret ballot election has been filed. Employers who are ignorant of the applicable labor laws and regulations leave themselves vulnerable to unfair labor practice charges, NLRB investigations, and the unionization of their workforce. Through this webinar, Day Pitney's experienced labor attorneys will educate employers on the new developments and provide guidance on addressing this new union organizing threat.
