Employment and Labor Associate
Position Overview
Day Pitney's Employment & Labor group is seeking an associate with 3-4 years of employment and labor experience to join our growing team in either our Stamford, Hartford or Parsippany office.
Candidates should have a background in employment litigation (employer side) and demonstrated experience in performing legal research and representing employers in various labor and employment-related matters, including litigation in state and federal court, before state and federal administrative agencies, and in labor arbitration. A background in non-compete litigation is helpful. Experience with employment matters, such as those involving allegations of discrimination, breach of contract, and wage and hour violations is preferred. Experience counseling employers on labor relations and employment law matters, conducting internal investigations, and drafting employment-related policies and agreements is a plus.

Requirements
- 3-4 years of demonstrated employment & labor litigation experience
- Excellent technical, legal research, professional and client service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and advocacy skills
- Team-oriented with an emphasis on collaboration
- Effective and efficient problem-solving capabilities with the ability to work independently and proactively, and to develop creative solutions to meet client and team needs
- Bar admission in good standing in the jurisdiction you plan to practice (CT or NJ) is required. Admission to NY, PA or MA is a plus.
