Day Pitney hires Frontier's former top lawyer after Verizon closes $22B deal
The arrival of Mark Nielsen to Day Pitney was recently highlighted in the Hartford Business Journal, underscoring his extensive experience and leadership in complex corporate matters. Nielsen joins the firm following Frontier Communications’ $22 billion sale to Verizon, where he served as chief legal officer for nearly 12 years and guided the company through major transactions, including multibillion-dollar mergers, a significant bankruptcy restructuring, and other high-stakes legal and business challenges. He also previously held legal roles at Raytheon and Praxair and served in senior government positions in Massachusetts.
Now based in the firm’s Stamford office, Nielsen brings nearly two decades of in-house experience at major public companies, further strengthening Day Pitney’s Corporate and Business Law Department.
