Position Summary

The Client Support Coordinator serves as the primary administrative client contact for the more than 550 members who have signed the New England Power Pool agreement (NEPOOL). Working closely with and providing support for the Day Pitney attorneys representing NEPOOL, the Client Support Coordinator ensures the proper handling of administrative responsibilities for the collective action of those members in accordance with their agreement.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • For designated NEPOOL meetings: arranges for in-person meetings in New England, identifying meeting venues, logistics and travel, including handling contract negotiations for the meeting venues and support; prepares preliminary meeting notices and draft agendas; coordinates and distributes supporting materials for meetings; following each meeting, drafts preliminary notice of actions and minutes
  • Attends monthly NEPOOL committee meetings (in person or virtually as needed);
  • Maintains voting records; identifies persons authorized to vote and their permitted proxies; tabulates voting results
  • Prepares and updates calendars, website materials and other records for NEPOOL meetings
  • Maintains NEPOOL website
  • Helps to coordinate and execute NEPOOL communications (to members as well as to the public at-large)
  • Drafts corporate-style resolutions for NEPOOL votes
  • Supports the production of NEPOOL Annual Reports
  • Arranges for appropriate internet posting of relevant NEPOOL materials
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent [preferred]. 
  • Strong customer service skills, advanced computer skills, organizational skills, written and oral communication skills, and the ability to multi-task. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public. 
  • Website design or maintenance and/or marketing/strategic communications experience is preferred.
