Corporate Associate Attorney (Private Equity & Finance) – Parsippany, NJ

Day Pitney is seeking associates with 4-6 years of demonstrated corporate transactional experience to join our growing team given the expansion of our corporate department and our New Jersey office.  This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to do sophisticated and challenging work with close team collaboration to help cultivate their practice.

Ideal candidates will have strong transactional experience in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, private placements of debt and equity securities, venture capital financing, strategic joint ventures, capital markets, corporate governance, private investment funds, and general middle-market corporate matters.  Experience with automotive dealership and franchise law is a plus.

Day Pitney’s corporate group advise clients on a broad range of matters, including  corporate governance, regulatory compliance, securities law, state corporate law, and tax and benefits issues, and the Firm offers a strong transactional practice in the areas of private equity, capital markets, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions. The team serves a wide range of clients including NYSE, NASDAQ and AMEX listed companies across a wide range of industries including, energy, banking, real estate, healthcare, communications, manufacturing, and technology. They also advise closely-held and family-owned companies and their owners throughout all stages in the life-cycle of such businesses from start-up through sale. The Firm has one of the largest and most sophisticated Family Office practices in the country, serving the corporate, tax, and transactional needs of high net worth clients and their businesses.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of demonstrated corporate transactional experience
  • Excellent technical, professional and client service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and client service skills
  • Team-oriented with an emphasis on collaboration
  • Effective and efficient problem solving capabilities with the ability to work independently and proactively, and to develop creative solutions to meet client and team needs
  • Member of the New Jersey bar in good standing is required
