Eric TeVelde focuses his practice primarily on patent litigation and client counseling in a wide variety of technical fields. He has experience litigating patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret and contractual matters in U.S. district and state courts, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the International Trade Commission and before arbitration tribunals. Eric's litigation experience includes pre-trial, discovery, trial and post-trial phases of litigation.
Eric handles opinion work regarding patent validity and infringement and provides strategic advice related to the development and management of intellectual property portfolios. He has negotiated and drafted a variety of IP-related agreements, including technology licensing, non-disclosure, non-competition and covenants not to sue, and co-existence agreements.
Eric also works with entrepreneurs and emerging companies. He is a member of the Emerging Companies and Venture Finance group, which offers resources and a solution developed specifically for entrepreneurs and startups called Day Pitney Launch. He previously worked on the research, development, and marketing of pharmaceutical drug products with Pfizer, Inc., Sanofi Aventis Pharmaceuticals and Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals.
