Maria Petti counsels public companies on corporate finance, securities, governance and transactional matters. She advises clients on the proxy statement process, executive and board compensation, compliance with global equity regulations and shareholder issues, as well as mergers and acquisitions. Maria assists with corporate governance matters, including Dodd Frank corporate governance regulations and various other disclosure issues.
For over 15 years, Maria served as in-house counsel for public companies, where she handled general corporate and securities work with major emphasis on '33 Act and'34 Act filings. In these roles, she was also the legal liaison to the Treasury Department regarding derivative swap agreement and bank agreement negotiations, CFTC regulations, tax dividend issues and other miscellaneous treasury activities.

Served as in-house counsel for an electronic trading network and facilitated $508 million acquisition of a rival electronic trading network
