Overview

Courtney Murgia advises and represents insurers, reinsurers and agents in insurance and reinsurance disputes. Prior to joining Day Pitney, she worked in the law department of a captive insurer for a Fortune 100 company. In this role, Courtney was responsible for handling complex commercial litigation matters, including assisting in defending the company against one of the largest allegations of financial fraud.

While in law school, Courtney was a legislative intern at the Boston State House, where she was responsible for research and writing projects for the co-chair of the Joint Committee on Children, Families, and Persons with Disabilities. She also worked on the research and development of an innovative project to establish the first casino in the Commonwealth.
