Charles retired at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel from the U.S. Army Reserve, having served for 28 years as a Military Police Officer, a Civil Affairs Officer and later in the Judge Advocate General's Corps. He was recently appointed for a three-year term as an Army Reserve Ambassador by the Chief, Army Reserve.
