
Leigh Furtado assists individuals and families with all stages of estate planning, estate administration and trust administration. She advises clients on the tax and estate planning strategies best suited to the preservation and protection of assets for intended beneficiaries. As a member of the estate administration team, Leigh also guides families through the probate process in both the Rhode Island and Massachusetts state court systems. She has extensive experience with the preparation of both gift and estate tax returns. Leigh also serves as trustee, advises trustees on fiduciary duties and manages complex trust administration matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Leigh practiced commercial litigation for a number of years in Boston. During law school, she interned in the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office and with the Hon. Judith G. Dein at the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
