
Carrie Burnsed advises clients with healthcare, corporate transactions, and business law matters. She has experience with healthcare industry transactional matters, including healthcare facility acquisitions and joint venture transactions. She has assisted in the purchase and sale of over 150 nursing and assisted living facilities in both brokered and non-brokered deals. Carrie has also assisted in the purchase and sale of large portfolios that consisted of multiple long term care facilities and in the construction and licensing of over 25 new long term care facilities.
Carrie regularly interprets, negotiates, and drafts merger, acquisition, and management agreements for long term care facilities; explains available courses of action and possible repercussions of cases to clients; counsels staff and department managers on employee issues. HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, and other government regulations; and reviews internal processes and policies for optimization and compliance to federal and state regulations.
During her 20 years of practice in Oklahoma, Carrie served as a statewide legal referral for the Oklahoma Assisted Living Association and Oklahoma Association of Health Care Providers.
