Glynis Ritchie advises individuals and families in all aspects of estate and tax planning. She focuses her practice on income, gift, estate and generation-skipping tax planning; trust and estate administration; planning for families with children with disabilities, and charitable giving. She assists clients in preparing comprehensive estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, special needs trusts, limited liability company documents and premarital agreements. Glynis also handles guardianship petitions and prepares estate and gift tax returns.
In addition to her practice, Glynis participates in Day Pitney's pro bono efforts, handling matters for the Boston Child Health Advocacy Partnership, Federal Bar Association's Wills for Veterans and Boston Medical Legal Partnership. She is also an active member of Day Pitney's Women Working Together, where she organizes an annual volunteer event for the first women's shelter in the United States, Rosie's Place.
Prior to joining the firm, Glynis was a law clerk for the Honorable Norma L. Shapiro of the U. S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. While in law school, she was a legal fellow with the Human Rights Law Network, Reproductive Rights Unit, in New Delhi, India; interned with the Honorable Gary S. Katzmann of the Massachusetts Appeals Court; and was teaching assistant to Northeastern's Prisoners Assistance Project.
