In Bid to Meet Surging Trusts and Estates Demand, Florida-Based Law Firms Top Outsiders
Day Pitney Private Client Partner Tasha Dickinson and Florida Offices Managing Partner Manuel Garcia-Linares were featured in the Daily Business Review article, "In Bid to Meet Surging Trusts and Estates Demand, Florida-Based Law Firms Top Outsiders." The article discusses how wealth continues to glow into Florida, prompting law firms to look at trusts and estates as a growth opportunity.
Dickinson commented, "When we look at our growth as a firm, we're looking at where client demands are, and Florida is the top, if not one of the top strategic areas for our firm. Since we opened in Florida, we've about doubled, if not maybe a little more. And a lot of it's been the last couple of years."
She added, "When we talk about expanding our footprint in the private client department … I think what that also means is that we're expanding our footprint by definition in other areas, because those clients who are relocating to Florida have a need for services that are beyond private client services."
Garcia-Linares commented on the firm's growth in Miami and the strategic focus to also expand in West Palm Beach in the coming year.
