Alan Greer Receives Equal Justice Leadership Award From Legal Services of Greater Miami
Alan G. Greer, a former Miami partner at Day Pitney LLP, has received the 2023 Equal Justice Leadership Award from Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc. The award was presented to Greer last night at the 14th Annual Heart of Giving Celebration at the Rubell Museum in Miami, FL.

He was an outstanding lawyer to work with, and we want to join Legal Services of Greater Miami in celebrating his wonderful career," commented Manuel A. For more than 50 years, Greer, a seasoned litigator, represented clients in complex commercial litigation. He was certified in civil trial practice by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He has extensive experience in complex business litigation, professional liability defense, class action defense, and corporate and officer liability. He regularly taught legal education courses as a faculty member and lecturer for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. Prior to merging with Day Pitney in 2019, Greer was a named partner at the South Florida-based law firm of Richman Greer P.A. He is a past chairman of the Florida Bar Association - International Law Committee, a former Trustee at the American College of Trial Lawyers Foundation, and a Fellow at the American College of Trial Lawyers, as well as a past chair of its Florida State and Professionalism Committees.
After graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland, Greer served six years in the U.S. Navy. He earned his J.D. from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law. Over the course of his career, he handled significant matters in Florida, New York, and Washington, DC, as well as before the U.S. Supreme Court.
