For the second time in recent months, Day Pitney's Family Office practice is pleased to be recognized for its commitment and experience serving the cybersecurity needs of the firm's Family Office clients. In this most recent accolade, Family Wealth Report presented the firm with the Cyber Security Specialist Wealth Management Award at the Tenth Annual Family Wealth Report Awards Gala in New York City on May 4, 2023.
"We are proud to have our cybersecurity team recognized by Family Wealth Report with this honor," said R. Scott Beach, chair of Day Pitney's Family Office practice and Corporate and Business Law department. "Our attorneys work tirelessly to provide thoughtful and value-add service to each and every one of our clients."
Family Wealth Report notes that the awards recognize "the most innovative and exceptional firms, teams and individuals" serving North America's family office, family wealth, and trusted advisor communities. For additional information on the awards and methodology, click here.
"I am delighted to see our firm's exceptional cybersecurity and family office colleagues receive this well-deserved honor from Family Wealth Report, and I'm honored to work alongside these dedicated attorneys," added William "Bill" J. Roberts, partner and co-chair of our Data Privacy, Protection, and Litigation group. "At Day Pitney, we believe in providing end-to-end service so our clients can confidently address data privacy and protection and cybersecurity risks before these risks ever materialize."
This most recent recognition continues a trend of awards for Day Pitney's Family Office and Trusts and Estates practices. In February 2023, Roberts received a "Thought Leadership (US) Award" at the Second Annual WealthBriefing WealthTech Americas Awards 2023 (click here for methodology). Day Pitney was also shortlisted in the "Best Law Firm – Estates and Trusts" category for the 2023 Private Asset Management - PAM Awards (click here for methodology) and named as a finalist in the "Legal Team of the Year" and "Wealth Planning" awards categories at the Tenth Annual Family Wealth Report awards.
On May 11, Roberts will be speaking on the importance of cybersecurity and data privacy for family offices at Day Pitney's Annual Palm Beach Family Office Forum. His panel, "Protecting the Intangible: Safeguarding Your Family's Online Reputation and Brand," will discuss proactive and reactive strategies family offices can take to protect their good name, avoid miscues, and ensure that the office has appropriate insight on its members, business partners, and collaborators.
