Day Pitney Counsel Ashley Picker Dubin was named to the "Young Professionals to Watch List" by the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) as part of their 2022 Distinguished Peer Awards. Dubin, along with the other honorees, will receive her award at ILTA's LegalSEC Summit, taking place from May 3 to 5 in Baltimore.
ILTA describes the overall award program as a way to honor the achievements of those who leverage the strategic advantages of technology in the legal profession. The Young Professionals to Watch Award is intended to recognize rising young professionals (under 40) in the legal technology industry, including members, ILTA staff, press, partners and academics. The application questions are intended to demonstrate the candidate's achievements, professionalism and leadership in the legal technology space. Dubin counsels and advises clients in electronic discovery (eDiscovery) and information governance (IG) processes and best practices. She participates in 26(f) conferences; negotiates electronically stored information (ESI) agreements and stipulations addressing the scope of preservation, searching, and production of data; and directs use of artificial intelligence (AI) in discovery. Dubin also advises on collection methodology, search and retrieval methodology, FRE 502(d) orders, and production specifications. Dubin works with Day Pitney attorneys across multiple practice areas to tailor strategies and discovery management plans for clients in the U.S., U.K., Europe, South America, and Asia. She assists clients in all phases of discovery, from preservation and collection to review and production of large volumes of data, as well as expert discovery on subjects related to forensics and ESI. Dubin serves as eDiscovery liaison in jurisdictions across the United States, negotiates technology assisted review (TAR) protocols, and litigates motions related to discovery disputes.
Dubin is a member of ILTA, The Sedona Conference - WG1 and WG6, Women in eDiscovery, the American Bar Association, and the Connecticut Bar Association. She earned her B.A. from Goucher College and her J.D. from New England School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut and Maryland.
