Cheryl L. Shaw has joined Day Pitney LLP as counsel in the firm's Trusts and Estates practice, resident in its Providence office. She joins from Kalander & Shaw, Ltd., where she was a managing partner.

Evangelista, office managing partner for the firm's Providence office. "She is a highly established trusts and estates attorney with deep ties to the Providence area; and having her join our team will add to our already deep bench in the private wealth category."

She assists clients with estate planning, elder law and asset protection planning, estate and trust administration, and guardianships. Shaw has counseled beneficiaries regarding their rights and trustees regarding their duties and obligations with respect to trust matters.
"I was drawn to Day Pitney because the firm understands the value of working with individuals and families and the importance of providing thoughtful attention and innovative solutions to private clients," added Shaw.
