Shant Chalian's arrival to the firm was profiled in the Law360 article titled, "Day Pitney Taps Ex-Robinson & Cole Group Chair As Counsel." Chalian, who has more than 25 years of experience, joins the firm as counsel in the Investment Management and Private Funds practice.
Chalian stated that Day Pitney's "impressive asset management, financial institutions and corporate client base [drew him to work at the firm,] and his practice aligns with the strategic goals of the team seamlessly."
Peter J. Bilfield, a partner and co-chair of the firm's Investment Management and Private Funds practice, added, "In addition to the significant increase we are seeing this year in fund formation work from U.S. sponsor clients as well as our non-U.S. sponsor clients in Europe and Asia, we are also working with investment managers and other advisors in connection with M&A, spin-out, recapitalization and management buy-out transactions.
