Gov. Lamont Names Nora Dannehy as His General Counsel

Christopher Droney was quoted in the Connecticut Law Tribune article, "Gov. Lamont Names Nora Dannehy as His General Counsel," discussing former Day Pitney Attorney Nora Dannehy being named by CT Gov. Lamont as his General Counsel. The article discusses her distinguished career, including her years at Day Pitney from 1988 to 1991. Dannehy will being her tenure on March 5 and will replace Robert Clark, who has been nominated to become a judge on the Connecticut Appellate Court.

Droney worked with Dannehy when he was U.S. Attorney and she was an Assistant U.S. Attorney, and noted the integral role she played in the first corruption case involving former Governor John Rowland. "She was very dedicated to the Rowland case. She worked well with FBI agents that were investigating the governor." Droney also stated that Dannehy was a pioneer for women attorneys.
