Day Pitney's Michael Napoleone has been appointed to the Palm Beach County League of Cities board of directors. In a virtual installation meeting on May 27, Napoleone was appointed to serve a one-year term as an At Large Representative. Napoleone was elected to the Village Council without opposition in December 2015 for a four-year term commencing on March 22, 2016. He is the first non-sitting council member elected without opposition in the history of the Village. He served as Vice Mayor from April 9, 2019, to April 15, 2020. The purpose of the Palm Beach County League of Cities, Inc., is to promote and advance the collective interest of the municipalities of Palm Beach County, Florida; to analyze municipal issues and seek positive results through cooperative efforts; to respect the principles of Home Rule; and to encourage and enhance the quality of life of the citizens of Palm Beach County.
