Florida attorneys Dolly Hernandez and Katherine Coba have been appointed as Latina Commissioners for the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA). Established in 2008 by the HBNA, the Latina Commission develops programs and strategies for Latina lawyers and students to overcome barriers to entry and advancement into the legal profession. As commissioners, Hernandez and Coba will assist with spearheading and implementing initiatives and programs with a goal towards advancing Latinas in the profession.
Resident in the Day Pitney's Miami office, Hernandez represents high net worth individuals in complex marital and family law matters. She assists individuals in the dissolution of marriage, equitable distribution, alimony, child support, parenting and time-share issues, paternity, prenuptial agreements and postnuptial agreements. She previously served as chair of the Section of Family Law for the HNBA.
Coba, also in the firm's Miami office, is a litigator and focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation at the trial and appellate levels. She counsels clients in matters regarding breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, personal injury, employment and estate/trust litigation. Additionally, she serves as co-chair of the Section of Litigation and Dispute Resolution for the HNBA.
