Alba Aviles and Ben Haglund Attend LatinoJustice PRLDEF Annual Awards Gala

On November 13, Alba Aviles and Ben Haglund attended the LatinoJustice PRLDEF annual awards gala at Pier 60 in New York City. The gala is LatinoJustice's premier fundraising event which honors institutional and individual leaders who help to advance the organization's mission. More than 500 guests attended to celebrate the honorees and LatinoJustice's work.

While there, they had the opportunity to meet and interact with Latino Justice/PRLDEF President Juan Cartagena and Board Chair Maria Melendez, as well as other leadership members of the New Jersey Hispanic Bar Association, where Alba currently serves as Press Secretary. They also participated in the celebration of honoree awards, including Marjorie De La Cruz, Senior Vice President & General Counsel, PepsiCo Latin America, receiving the 2019 Lucero Award; MasterCard, receiving the 2019 Corporate Leader Award; and Nixon Peabody LLP, receiving the 2019 Pro Bono Publico Award, among others.
