Day Pitney Earns 100 Percent on Human Rights Campaign Foundation's 17th Annual Scorecard on LGBTQ Workplace Equality
Day Pitney is pleased to announce that the firm has received a perfect score of 100 on the 2019 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation.
This is the third consecutive year that Day Pitney has received a perfect score on the index. With its 100 percent ranking, the firm again earned a designation as a "Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality" by the HRC Foundation.
"We are proud of this recognition, which reflects our efforts both internally through the Day Pitney Alliance, the firm's LGBTQ affinity group, and externally through our support of organizations such as GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders (GLAD), where one of our attorneys serves on the Board of Directors," said Tommy Shi, the firm's Director of Diversity & Inclusion. "Day Pitney is making strides and we will continue on an upward trajectory to further our support of the LGBTQ community."
The 2019 CEI evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community.
