Day Pitney Celebrates Black History Month

In celebration of Black History Month, Day Pitney hosted guest speaker Wendell Haskins, Founder of "The Original Tee Golf Classic" and former Senior Director of Diversity and Multicultural Initiatives for the PGA of America. Mr. Haskins shared two personal stories: creating The Original Tee Golf Classic, an event that recognizes Dr. George F. Grant, the African American inventor of the golf tee; and his successful campaign to have World Golf Hall of Famer Charlie Sifford recognized with the Presidential Medal of Freedom and accompanying him to the White House to receive it in 2014.
