Day Pitney Promotes Six New Partners
Day Pitney LLP announced today that six attorneys have been elected as partners of the firm, effective January 1, 2019.

Alexis S. Gettier is a trusts and estates partner in the Stamford office. She assists high net-worth individuals, including same-sex married and unmarried couples, with tax and estate planning while counseling them on the structuring of gifts and business succession planning. Alexis also advises families and fiduciaries in the administration of complex estates and trusts. She also advises individuals with substantial art portfolios, including collectors, investors and artists. Alexis received her LL.M. from New York University and her J.D., cum laude, from Temple University. She received her B.A. from Wake Forest University. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Sebastian M. Lombardi is a transactional partner in the Energy and Utilities practice group in the Hartford office. He assists energy clients on all aspects of transactional and regulatory matters associated with federally regulated power and gas markets, and works closely with state and federal energy regulators. Sebastian is a member of the team of lawyers serving as general counsel to the New England Power Pool (NEPOOL), a regional organization engaged in the wholesale markets for electrical power. In this capacity, Sebastian represents NEPOOL before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and regularly provides counsel on a wide range of matters related to the design and operation of the region's wholesale electric markets. Sebastian received his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and his M.A., with high honors, from Johns Hopkins University. He received his B.A. from the University of Richmond. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
Ruth S. Moskowitz is a trusts and estates partner in the Greenwich office. She counsels individuals and families in connection with all aspects of estate planning by providing comprehensive estate and gift tax advice as well as preparing wills, trust agreements and related instruments. She works collaboratively with family advisors and professionals, including those in other jurisdictions, to best serve the needs of her clients on complex trust and estate issues. Ruth also guides clients through all phases of trust and estate administration, including representation in estate tax audits, advising fiduciaries on their duties and responsibilities in managing trusts and estates, and advocating for individuals and corporations in trust and estate disputes. Ruth received her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and her B.A., Phi Beta Kappa, from Lehigh University. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York.
Robert G. Rahilly is a transactional partner in the Stamford office. He assists clients, ranging from Fortune 100 companies to startup ventures, with commercial real estate matters, including the financing, acquisition, leasing and sale of real property. Primarily, he represents lenders and borrowers in all aspects of commercial real estate financing transactions, including CMBS transactions and construction financing. In addition, Bob advises landlords and tenants on long term ground leases, build-to-suit leases and space leases for all asset classes, including office, industrial, retail and healthcare. Bob received his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and his B.A. from Boston College. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut and Massachusetts.
Jennifer L. Solberg is a transactional partner in the Parsippany office. She represents clients, ranging from institutional investors to individuals and small family offices, in the acquisition and sale of commercial real estate, including office, retail, multifamily and industrial properties. Jen also represents local and national real estate developers in the acquisition and sale of development properties throughout New Jersey. In addition, she assists clients with the financing and leasing of commercial properties, as well as with the workout and amendment of commercial real estate mortgage loans. Jen also works closely with clients and title companies to review and resolve complex title issues. Jen received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Connecticut School of Law and her B.S., summa cum laude, from Boston University. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut.
Jonathan S. Zelig is a litigation partner in the Boston office. He represents insurers and other large companies in complex litigation and arbitration proceedings. He has experience advising insurance companies in a wide range of coverage and reinsurance disputes, including with respect to opioids, asbestos, e-cigarettes, data privacy, intellectual property, and healthcare compliance. He also regularly assists corporate clients with general business and contract disputes. Jonathan has represented multi-national corporations at every stage of their most important matters, from pre-litigation advisory services through trial and appeal. He has advocated on behalf of his clients in state and federal jurisdictions throughout the United States. Jonathan received his J.D. from Yale Law School and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Pomona College. He is admitted to practice in New York and Massachusetts.
