Boston-based Day Pitney partner Jonathan Handler was quoted in an article, "Massachusetts Trends And Cases To Watch In 2019," published by Law360. The article highlights legal trends and pending cases in Massachusetts, including noncompete laws, a trial concerning opioids, the Equal Pay Act, and a potential landmark affirmative action trial. As noted in the article, Students for Fair Admissions v. President and Fellows of Harvard College, a highly publicized case challenging the Ivy League School's affirmative action policies, may have a wide-ranging impact on college admissions. "The Harvard case was huge for people," Handler told Law360. "Obviously, we don't have the decision yet, but people are following it carefully and it's one of those cases where, to really follow it carefully, you had to invest a lot of time in it. It is a dense case."
