Day Pitney partner Michael W. Kaufman has been elected to the Board of Directors of Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo. Members of the Board provide skills and experience to assist the administration with operations and help raise awareness for the Zoo. The Board also assists in promoting the Zoo's activities and shares a common interest in conservation and education.
Located in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Beardsley Zoo has a proud history of over 90 years as the state's only zoo. An accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and a participant in its Species Survival Plan (SSP) programs, Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo is committed to the preservation of endangered animals and developing strategies to protect species and preserve their habitats.
