The article describes Day Pitney's updated HIPAA self-assessment tool as being able to "help clients assess whether they are in compliance with HIPAA's security, privacy, and breach notification requirements." The article also commented on how user friendly the tool is and that, "Depending on the size and complexity of the organization, the tool can be completed by the compliance officer, health information manager, medical records manager, legal counsel, privacy officer, or security officer."
