Ernie Mattei and Eric Sussman were quoted and David Elliott, Mitch Harris, Kenneth Ritt, James Sicilian and Richard Wasserman were mentioned in an article, "Legal Community Rocks Out for Good Cause," in The Connecticut Law Tribune. The article mentions that the Street Vipers, a band largely made up of Day Pitney partners, performed at a Battle of the Bands concert, a fundraiser organized by the Hartford County Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of the Hartford County Bar Association. The event was held at the Bond Ballroom at the Homewood Suites Hotel in Hartford. About 100 people attended the event. The funds raised through the event will be given to Hartford non profits and grassroot organizations providing for the poor, homeless, and needy in Hartford. In the past year, the Foundation has given out nearly $40,000 in grants to local charities, including 12 soup kitchens in Hartford, the Malta House For Care, and the Center for Children's Advocacy. "All the money that funds these grants comes from lawyers," Mattei said. "It comes from events which lawyers attend."
