David Doot was quoted in an article,"Md. Faces Skeptical High Court In Power Plant Subsidy Row," in Law360. The article discusses the US Supreme Court case reviewing lower court rulings that the Maryland Public Service Commission exceeded its jurisdiction in offering certain financial incentives to a new generator for building a power plant in Maryland. Even if the lower court rulings stand, this case is important, notes Doot. He explains that the Supreme Court's acceptance of the case suggests that the Court may, "want to provide certain guidance on how to handle jurisdiction between federal and state agencies."
