New York, NY September 28, 2015 – Day Pitney has announced that Ellen Knarr has been appointed as the new Office Managing Partner of Day Pitney’s New York office.
“We are pleased that Ellen has become an administrative partner,” said Day Pitney Managing Partner Stanley A. Twardy, Jr. “She has strong leadership skills and has shown a great deal of initiative at the firm.”
In her new role, Knarr will be responsible for promoting the office’s capabilities within the firm, supporting the local partners and their needs, establishing a positive work environment and coordinating local community involvement.
“I am flattered to be taking on this role and am excited for the opportunity to bring my enthusiasm to the New York office,” said Knarr.
Ellen Knarr is a partner in Day Pitney’s Corporate practice. She advises public and private companies on corporate and securities law matters. Knarr’s practice is focused on public reporting responsibilities, SRO-compliance, corporate governance best practices and certain executive compensation matters, and she advises senior management, boards of directors and board committees with respect to these and other legal compliance matters. Knarr is also a dedicated leader and participant in a variety of the firm's initiatives. She serves as the chair of Day Pitney's firm-wide women's initiative Women Working Together (WWT) and is an active member of the firm's Diversity and Recruitment Committees.

On November 29, the Boston office of Day Pitney hosted a holiday cocktail reception for clients and friends at the Boch Center's Wang Theatre to kick off the giving season and celebrate all the things Day Pitney was thankful for this year.
In October 2023, Day Pitney represented a state pension system client in connection with a $200 million investment in a $20 billion private equity fund, and its accompanying co-investment vehicle, focused on acquiring, operating and disposing of financing, software, data and technology-enabled businesses.
