Day Pitney Is Only Law Firm Chosen as Connecticut Top Workplace by Hearst Media
Stamford, Conn. September 14, 2015 - Day Pitney is pleased to announce that it has been chosen as a Connecticut Top Workplace by Hearst Media, and is the only law firm listed. Day Pitney is a law firm with 550 employees, including about 300 attorneys, in its nine offices throughout the East Coast.
"Committed to inclusiveness, Day Pitney has been at the forefront of the diversity movement within the legal industry for more than a decade," says the article in the Connecticut Post, which focused on the firm's numerous programs to enhance diversity within the legal industry and also give back to the community through charitable donations and volunteer opportunities.
Out of 800 companies Hearst Connecticut Newspapers recognized 45 companies and organizations in Southern Connecticut as Top Workplaces in 2015. Day Pitney was one of 25 companies selected as Top Workplaces in the Small Company category.
"It is an honor to be recognized as one of the Top Workplaces in Connecticut. Our employees have created a culture that is focused on building community inside and outside of our offices. This culture fosters dedication to client service and has helped to make our firm a success," said Day Pitney managing partner Stan Twardy.
Companies were recognized as Top Workplaces based on surveys about the workplace, which were completed by their employees. Companies were measured on several qualities such as company leadership, career opportunities, workplace flexibility, compensation and benefits. The survey focused on the firm's Stamford and Greenwich offices, based in Southern Connecticut.
"I am thrilled that Day Pitney's Stamford and Greenwich offices were recognized as a Connecticut Top Workplace based on the feedback of our employees, affirming publicly what we all know in our hearts: that we are a close-knit group of talented professionals providing outstanding service to our clients in a collaborative and inclusive environment," said Stacy Smith Walsh, director of human resources at Day Pitney.
