David Doot Discusses "5 Things That Keep Utility Attorneys Up At Night" in Law360
David Doot, Day Pitney energy and utility law department chair and lead counsel for the New England Power Pool, was one of a handful of leading energy and utility lawyers interviewed by Law360 in an April 25 article titled "5 Things That Keep Utility Attorneys Up at Night." The article noted that "seismic shifts in traditional power sources and the increased unbundling of power generation and transmission" are just some of the things that make it a challenging regulatory environment for U.S. utilities and the attorneys who represent them. Dave mentioned that implementing FERC Order No. 1,000 is one of the top issues utility attorneys are dealing with because currently there is "no consistent vision for what should be happening on what should be done to build out the bulk power system."
