Asker Saeed Joins Connecticut Hispanic Bar Association Advisory Committee
Day Pitney's Director of Diversity, Asker A. Saeed, has recently been chosen to serve on the Advisory Committee of the Connecticut Hispanic Bar Association (CHBA).
The CHBA includes attorneys, law students and paralegal members, as well as professors and members of the judiciary. It focuses on enhancing professional opportunities for Hispanic attorneys, serving as mentors to new lawyers and law students, and helping private and public legal employers achieve their diversity goals. The CHBA has undertaken substantial efforts to serve the bar and the Hispanic community in Connecticut, and is a member and supporter of the Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity. The CHBA scholarship program has awarded thousands of dollars in academic scholarships to law students.
The CHBA Advisory Committee is a select group of attorneys and non-attorneys whose main role will be to provide support and advice to the CHBA Board of Directors. This may include fundraising for the CHBA Scholarship Fund, partnering with other related organizations and interested institutions, and supporting the CHBA Annual Dinner Committee.
More information about the CHBA can be found on its website, http://ct-hba.org/.
