Andrew Riddles was featured in Law360's Q&A series on March 16. In the article, Andrew says his most challenging case was representing Priceline.com against Microsoft, a case that eventually settled: "At that time, the Internet was new and exciting and seemingly without limit. Dramatic new Web technologies were being implemented on a daily basis and were excitedly covered in the news media. At the same time, business method patents were just gaining attention. There was little legal precedent to look to and it was unclear sure how the courts would interpret such patents. Would a court find that the subject invention was patentable subject matter? If so, would different rules apply to interpretation of e-commerce patent claims? There were many novel legal issues to contend with in the case."
