The New Jersey Law Journal published Joy Harmon Sperling's article, "N.J. Court Finds Fair Foreclosure Act Does Not Apply to Properties Abandoned by Homeowners," on August 6. Discussing the impact of the recent decision in Sturdy Savings Bank v. Roberts on the New Jersey Fair Foreclosure Act (FFA), Joy wrote that the "implications of this case are far-reaching, as the court has effectively authorized lenders to proceed with foreclosures on abandoned property without having to comply with the FFA."
