Trusts and Estates Team Joins Day Pitney in Boston
Two more attorneys have joined Day Pitney's internationally-recognized Trusts and Estates practice, which has 40 attorneys practicing in five states. Kenneth Grinnell has joined the firm as a partner, and Dani Ruran has joined as counsel. Both come to Day Pitney from Foley Hoag.
Mr. Grinnell has decades of experience advising clients on estate planning and administration, charitable giving and tax-exempt matters. His principal areas of practice are estate planning, estate and trust administration and related tax planning, including planning for business owners and international tax planning. He has extensive experience advising individuals and families in connection with international estate planning, including offshore trusts and corporations.
Mr. Grinnell has more than 20 years of experience in charitable planned giving, dealing with a broad range of outright and deferred gifts by individuals to organizations and foundations. He also represents foundations and other tax-exempt entities in connection with initial organizational matters, grantmaking, compliance with federal and state tax laws and fiduciary responsibility.
Mr. Ruran's practice includes estate planning, estate and trust administration and related tax planning, international estate tax planning, and planning for retirement benefits and higher education expenses. He represents high net worth clients, including business owners. He is admitted in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Florida.
