Overview

Mikaila John represents employers in a wide range of labor and employment matters. Her practice includes litigation, traditional labor and workplace counseling.  

Mikaila defends clients in litigation involving wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, sexual harassment, and age, race, and disability discrimination. She also works with clients preparing for arbitration of issues under their collective bargaining agreements.  

Mikaila also advises clients on compliance with federal and state employment statutes, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), New Jersey Family Leave Act (NJFLA), and the Conscientious Employee Protection Act (CEPA). Mikaila also provides counsel on internal investigations, and human resources policies and practices to mitigate risk and foster equitable workplaces.

Mikaila served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Nathaniel R. Howse, Jr. at the Illinois Appellate Court.
