Steven Cash authored an op-ed, "In Defense of the CIA's Moral Compass," for The Cipher Brief. The piece opposes views set forth in an op-ed published by The Wall Street Journal that question the Central Intelligence Agency's (CIA) history, culture and morality. Cash, a Counsel in Day Pitney's Washington, D.C. and New York offices and a former CIA Operations Officer, shares his first-hand experiences at the CIA, where "Morality was central." He writes, "CIA officers, by virtue of the Agency's history and culture, rigorous training, continued oversight from both within and outside the Agency, are intensely aware of the criticality of morality."
On June 11, Steven Cash spoke on a panel, "War Without Limits? Recasting the National Security Legal Framework," at Global Law Week 2018, a program presented by the International Section of the New York State Bar Association.
