Commercial Litigation Attorneys Discuss Supreme Court ATS Ruling in Law360
April 18, 2013
Partner Ben Haglund and associate Barbara Yu authored an article, "Kiobel Ruling Curbs Potential ATS Liability?- For Now," for Law360 on April 18. They review the Supreme Court's recent decision that the Alien Tort Statute does not apply to actions on foreign soil, along with the background of the decision and implications for the future. Ben and Barbara write that there is "a strong likelihood of continued legal challenges regarding overseas violations of international law" and that U.S. citizens and companies should still proceed carefully with regard to behavior abroad that in the past would have made them liable.
White Collar attorneys John Vukelj, Sarah Krissoff and Gregory R. Bruno authored an article for the New York Law Journal titled, "Stock Trading Plan Rule Amendments Augur Changes to Securities Fraud Litigation."
Attorneys Kritika Bharadwaj, Benjamin E. Haglund, Theresa A. Kelly, Naju R. Lathia and Elizabeth J. Sher represented the firm at the South Asian Bar Association of New Jersey (SABA-NJ) 2021 Annual Gala on October 1 at The Marigold in Somerset, NJ.
