A recent New Jersey appellate court decision was the subject of an article by Joy Sperling and Aaron Stahl that was published in Law360. The Superior Court, Appellate Division held that the equitable principle of piercing the corporate veil can be applied to limited partnerships in the state. Joy and Aaron noted that the ruling expands the ability of a litigant to extend liability to the limited partners behind a partnership.
