Land Use and Environmental Law: Reporting Regulations Leave Room for Improvement
The Connecticut Law Tribune included an article written by Beth Barton and Liz Leaderman in its October 4 Land Use and Environmental Law special section. The article, "Reporting Regulations Leave Room for Improvement," addressed proposed Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) regulations regarding chemical spills. DEP is trying to clarify which chemical releases must be reported. Current state law does not clearly define the spills for which a report is necessary.
